Marcel LinkMarcel Link has been trading options, futures, and/or stocks since 1989.  He began his career as a clerk in the crude oil futures and option pits of the New York Mercantile Exchange.  It was here that he first learned the intricacies of option trading. After two years he scraped up enough money to buy a seat on the NY Cotton Exchange, trading NYFE, Dollar Index, and Cotton futures and options. Eventually he found himself trading E-mini S&P futures more than anything and decided to go off the floor to be able to focus more on them.

In 1996 he received an MBA in finance from Rutgers School of Business, after which he started an online commodities discount brokerage firm, Link Futures, which he sold two years later.  For the next decade he successfully traded mostly equities from a trading desk. During this time, he started two bars in New York City and then in 2010 a restaurant in NY’s Hamptons, where he currently lives full-time.  With the restaurant taking up too much time, he focused his attention toward trading options using primarily selling strategies, which didn’t require constant management.

As luck would have it, he sold the restaurant in January 2020 just before the start of Covid and has since been actively trading options and futures full time, while managing several stock portfolios.

Marcel has written three books including the best selling

High Probability Trading, 2003
