I think as far as tariff talk goes , any news will most likely be positive for the market. I do believe that Trump was getting a little fearful of a recession and will cool tariff mentions to let the market ease up back. The VIX closed below 30 and while still high it is settling back down and market participants will come back in soon. However technically the market looks bearish. The 50 day moving average crossed below the 200 day last week. last time it was below was Feb 2023. The last time it cross below was in March of 22 so it took almost a year to bounce back. we have also been in downward trend since Feb. 20th, with the trendline being at around 5500 ( about 200 points away) that is easily reachable in 2 days. if we have good earnings, no recession or tariff scares and the VIX drops, I think we are good.
